Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Primroses in a basket on a mossy bank; and Greengages in a basket, plums and damsons on a mossy bank by Vincent Clare was sold in the Victorian and British Impressionist Pictures including Drawings and Watercolours auction at Christies in London in November 2009. The price achieved of GBP 875.00 (€ 957.57) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 700.00 – 1,000.00. Admittedly, works by Vincent Clare have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Primroses, apple blossom, and a wicker basket, on a mossy bank; and Plums and grapes on a mossy bank in June 2000 with an auction result of GBP 5,875.00 (€ 9,312.60).

Die Arbeit Primroses in a basket on a mossy bank; and Greengages in a basket, plums and damsons on a mossy bank von Vincent Clare wurde im November 2009 in der Auktion Victorian and British Impressionist Pictures including Drawings and Watercolours bei Christies in London versteigert.
