This artwork by Vincent Clare achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in September 2005. In the British and Victorian Paintings auction, the work Primroses, apple-blossom and a bird's nest on a mossy bank; and Grapes and plums on a mossy bank sold for GBP 2,880.00 (€ 4,226.61) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 1,500.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Vincent Clare - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Primroses, apple blossom, and a wicker basket, on a mossy bank; and Plums and grapes on a mossy bank, which sold at auction in June 2000 for GBP 5,875.00 (€ 9,312.60).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 92 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Vincent Clare erzielte im September 2005 bei Christies in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis.
