Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work The Magical Fishbowl - A Logbook Paper by Viktor IV was auctioned at Christies in Amsterdam in June 2001, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of NLG 800.00 – 1,200.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for NLG 763.75 (€ 367.09). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Viktor IV achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work American Totem in December 2008 with an auction result of EUR 8,125.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit The Magical Fishbowl - A Logbook Paper von Viktor IV im Juni 2001 bei Christies in Amsterdam versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von NLG 800,00 – 1.200,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für NLG 763,75 (€ 367,09) den Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Viktor IV erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit American Totem im Dezember 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 8.125,00.
