Auction result well in line with expectations
In April 2016 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction Post-War and Contemporary Art, which included the work Angry Sun (Ikon) by Viktor IV. The price achieved of EUR 2,500.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Viktor IV - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work American Totem, which sold at auction in December 2008 for EUR 8,125.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im April 2016 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion Post-War and Contemporary Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Angry Sun (Ikon) von Viktor IV zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 2.500,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Viktor IV mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit American Totem beobachtet, die im Dezember 2008 für EUR 8.125,00 versteigert wurde.
