Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Untitled (Pecunia Non Olet) by Viktor IV was sold in the Post-War and Contemporary Art auction at Christies in Amsterdam in November 2015. Here, the upper estimate of EUR 3,500.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for EUR 4,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Viktor IV - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work American Totem, which sold at auction in December 2008 for EUR 8,125.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Untitled (Pecunia Non Olet) von Viktor IV wurde im November 2015 in der Auktion Post-War and Contemporary Art bei Christies in Amsterdam versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von EUR 3.500,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für EUR 4.000,00 einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Viktor IV mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit American Totem beobachtet, die im Dezember 2008 für EUR 8.125,00 versteigert wurde.
