Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Rabbit In The Ascendant - A Logbook Paper by Viktor IV was sold in the TWENTIETH CENTURY ART INCLUDING BELGIAN ART auction at Christies in Amsterdam in June 2001. The price achieved of NLG 1,410.00 (€ 677.71) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as NLG 1,200.00 – 1,600.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Viktor IV achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work American Totem in December 2008 with an auction result of EUR 8,125.00.

Die Arbeit Rabbit In The Ascendant - A Logbook Paper von Viktor IV wurde im Juni 2001 in der Auktion TWENTIETH CENTURY ART INCLUDING BELGIAN ART bei Christies in Amsterdam versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von NLG 1.410,00 (€ 677,71) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit NLG 1.200,00 – 1.600,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Viktor IV erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit American Totem im Dezember 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 8.125,00.
