Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In June 2001 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction TWENTIETH CENTURY ART INCLUDING BELGIAN ART, which included the work Le Petite Marie - A Logbook Paper by Viktor IV. The »bidding war« ended at NLG 1,880.00 (€ 903.62), 18% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Viktor IV have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work American Totem in December 2008 with an auction result of EUR 8,125.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Juni 2001 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion TWENTIETH CENTURY ART INCLUDING BELGIAN ART durch, in der auch die Arbeit Le Petite Marie - A Logbook Paper von Viktor IV zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von NLG 1.880,00 (€ 903,62) und damit 18% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Viktor IV auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit American Totem im Dezember 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 8.125,00.
