Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Enduring And Becoming by Viktor IV was sold in the TWENTIETH CENTURY ART INCLUDING BELGIAN ART auction at Christies in Amsterdam in June 2001. The price achieved of NLG 4,700.00 (€ 2,259.04) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as NLG 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Viktor IV - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work American Totem, which sold at auction in December 2008 for EUR 8,125.00.

Die Arbeit Enduring And Becoming von Viktor IV wurde im Juni 2001 in der Auktion TWENTIETH CENTURY ART INCLUDING BELGIAN ART bei Christies in Amsterdam versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von NLG 4.700,00 (€ 2.259,04) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit NLG 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Viktor IV mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit American Totem beobachtet, die im Dezember 2008 für EUR 8.125,00 versteigert wurde.
