In May 2007 Sothebys in Amsterdam held the auction Modern and Contemporary Art, which included the work Belg Opus I by Victor Servranckx. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 38,400.00 54% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Victor Servranckx have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work opus 9 - 1927 in December 2017 with an auction result of EUR 272,800.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um 54 % übertroffen
Im Mai 2007 führte Sothebys in Amsterdam die Auktion Modern and Contemporary Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Belg Opus I von Victor Servranckx zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 38.400,00 und damit 54% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Victor Servranckx auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit opus 9 - 1927 im Dezember 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 272.800,00.
