In March 2019 Sothebys in Paris held the auction Œuvres sur Papier, which included the work Victor Hugo At Home by Victor Hugo. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 10,000.00 67% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Victor Hugo achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work La Planète (Saturne) in February 2014 with an auction result of GBP 434,500.00 (€ 527,153.05).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 67 % übertroffen
Im März 2019 führte Sothebys in Paris die Auktion Œuvres sur Papier durch, in der auch die Arbeit Victor Hugo At Home von Victor Hugo zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 10.000,00 und damit 67% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Victor Hugo erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit La Planète (Saturne) im Februar 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 434.500,00 (€ 527.153,05).
