This artwork by Victor Hugo achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Paris in May last year. In the Maîtres Anciens - Dessins, Peintures, Sculptures auction, the work Château Fantastique sold for EUR 13,860.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 6,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Victor Hugo achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work La Planète (Saturne) in February 2014 with an auction result of GBP 434,500.00 (€ 527,153.05).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Victor Hugo erzielte im Mai letzten Jahres bei Christies in Paris einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Maîtres Anciens - Dessins, Peintures, Sculptures wurde die Arbeit Château Fantastique für EUR 13.860,00 versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 6.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Victor Hugo erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit La Planète (Saturne) im Februar 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 434.500,00 (€ 527.153,05).
