In November 2017 Sothebys in New York held the auction American Art, which included the work Adobe And Wagon by Victor William Higgins. The »bidding war« ended at USD 81,250.00 (€ 68,288.79), 63% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Victor William Higgins achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Going Home in November 2015 with an auction result of USD 773,000.00 (€ 731,868.96).

Im November 2017 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion American Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Adobe And Wagon von Victor William Higgins zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 81.250,00 (€ 68.288,79) und damit 63% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Victor William Higgins erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Going Home im November 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 773.000,00 (€ 731.868,96).
