The work White Horse by Victor William Higgins was sold in the Portrait of the WestThe Diane and Sam Stewart Collection auction at Bonhams in Los Angeles in August 2021. Here, the upper estimate of USD 150,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 150,312.50 (€ 127,383.47). Admittedly, works by Victor William Higgins have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Going Home in November 2015 with an auction result of USD 773,000.00 (€ 731,868.96).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit White Horse von Victor William Higgins wurde im August 2021 in der Auktion Portrait of the WestThe Diane and Sam Stewart Collection bei Bonhams in Los Angeles versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 150.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 150.312,50 (€ 127.383,47) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Victor William Higgins auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Going Home im November 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 773.000,00 (€ 731.868,96).
