Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Victor William Higgins could be acquired at Sothebys in New York in October 2013 for an unexpectedly low price. In the American Paintings, Drawings & Sculpture auction, the work Belgian Marketplace changed hands for USD 9,375.00 (€ 6,896.42) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Victor William Higgins achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Going Home in November 2015 with an auction result of USD 773,000.00 (€ 731,868.96).
