In April 2015 Phillips in New York held the auction Photographs Day Sale, which included the work Untitled #21 from The Birthday Party by Vee Speers. The result of USD 5,000.00 (€ 4,479.48) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of USD 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Vee Speers - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Untitled #16 from The Birthday Party, which sold at auction in April 2011 for USD 20,000.00 (€ 13,494.37).
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Im April 2015 führte Phillips in New York die Auktion Photographs Day Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Untitled #21 from The Birthday Party von Vee Speers zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von USD 5.000,00 (€ 4.479,48) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 5.000,00 – 7.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Vee Speers mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Untitled #16 from The Birthday Party beobachtet, die im April 2011 für USD 20.000,00 (€ 13.494,37) versteigert wurde.
