The »bidding war« ended at USD 8,750.00 (€ 6,577.96), 25% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Vee Speers - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Untitled #16 from The Birthday Party, which sold at auction in April 2011 for USD 20,000.00 (€ 13,494.37).
