Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Vaughn Spann achieved an unexpectedly high price at Phillips in New York in March last year. In the New Now auction, the work Dalmatian (Desert Storm) (No. 6) sold for USD 151,200.00 (€ 136,302.17) - well above the upper estimate of USD 70,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Vaughn Spann; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Big Black Rainbow (Deep Dive) sold at auction in December 2020 with the realized price of USD 239,400.00 (€ 195,748.16).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Vaughn Spann erzielte im März letzten Jahres bei Phillips in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion New Now wurde die Arbeit Dalmatian (Desert Storm) (No. 6) für USD 151.200,00 (€ 136.302,17) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 70.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Vaughn Spann; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Big Black Rainbow (Deep Dive) im Dezember 2020 mit dem Hammerpreis von USD 239.400,00 (€ 195.748,16).
