It achieved a price of GBP 4,000.00 (€ 4,496.59), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 60%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Vasili Ivanovich Surikov achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Study Of A Strelets' Wife For The Painting 'The Morning Of The Streltsi'S Execution' in November 2004 with an auction result of GBP 106,050.00 (€ 152,552.35).

Die Arbeit The composer Anton Rubinstein (1829-1894) von Vasili Ivanovich Surikov kam im Juni 2019 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 4.000,00 (€ 4.496,59) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 60%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Vasili Ivanovich Surikov erzielen.
