In January 2011 Sothebys in New York held the auction Old Master & 19th Century European Art, which included the work Study For Menshikov At Beriozov by Vasili Ivanovich Surikov. The »bidding war« ended at USD 31,250.00 (€ 22,785.27), 25% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Vasili Ivanovich Surikov have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Study Of A Strelets' Wife For The Painting 'The Morning Of The Streltsi'S Execution' in November 2004 with an auction result of GBP 106,050.00 (€ 152,552.35).

Im Januar 2011 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Old Master & 19th Century European Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Study For Menshikov At Beriozov von Vasili Ivanovich Surikov zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 31.250,00 (€ 22.785,27) und damit 25% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Vasili Ivanovich Surikov auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Study Of A Strelets' Wife For The Painting 'The Morning Of The Streltsi'S Execution' im November 2004 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 106.050,00 (€ 152.552,35).
