This artwork by Valentine Prax achieved an unexpectedly high price at Artcurial in Paris in December 2007. In the Modern Art auction, the work Nature Morte Devant Le Port, 1930 sold for EUR 10,533.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 6,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Valentine Prax; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Paysage sold at auction in July 2008 with the realized price of EUR 16,110.00.

In der Auktion Modern Art wurde die Arbeit Nature Morte Devant Le Port, 1930 für EUR 10.533,00 versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 6.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Valentine Prax; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Paysage im Juli 2008 mit dem Hammerpreis von EUR 16.110,00.
