In February 2007 Artcurial in Paris held the auction Modern Art, which included the work Les Musiciennes by Valentine Prax. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 4,316.00 44% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Valentine Prax - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Paysage, which sold at auction in July 2008 for EUR 16,110.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um 44 % übertroffen
Im Februar 2007 führte Artcurial in Paris die Auktion Modern Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Les Musiciennes von Valentine Prax zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 4.316,00 und damit 44% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Valentine Prax mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Paysage beobachtet, die im Juli 2008 für EUR 16.110,00 versteigert wurde.
