Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Vas'ka by Valentin Serov was auctioned at Christies in London in June 2016. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 8,000.00 – 1,200,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 40,000.00 (€ 48,013.05) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Valentin Serov achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Portrait Of Praskovia Anatolievna Mamontova in November 2012 with an auction result of GBP 1,217,250.00 (€ 1,499,528.50).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Vas'ka von Valentin Serov kam im Juni 2016 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 8.000,00 – 1.200.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 40.000,00 (€ 48.013,05) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Valentin Serov erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Portrait Of Praskovia Anatolievna Mamontova im November 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 1.217.250,00 (€ 1.499.528,50).
