Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2016 Sothebys in London held the auction Including the Bar-Gera Collection of Soviet Non-Conformist Art, which included the work Portrait Of Pope Innocent X After Velázquez by Valentin Serov. The price achieved of GBP 93,750.00 (€ 110,615.78) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 80,000.00 – 120,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Valentin Serov achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Portrait Of Praskovia Anatolievna Mamontova in November 2012 with an auction result of GBP 1,217,250.00 (€ 1,499,528.50).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2016 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Including the Bar-Gera Collection of Soviet Non-Conformist Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Portrait Of Pope Innocent X After Velázquez von Valentin Serov zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 93.750,00 (€ 110.615,78) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 80.000,00 – 120.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Valentin Serov erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Portrait Of Praskovia Anatolievna Mamontova im November 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 1.217.250,00 (€ 1.499.528,50).
