Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Winter In Abramtsevo by Valentin Serov was sold in the Russian Pictures Including Works on Paper by Natalia Goncharova and Mikhail Larionov auction at Sothebys in London in December 2015. The price achieved of GBP 305,000.00 (€ 414,175.34) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 250,000.00 – 350,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Valentin Serov - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Portrait Of Praskovia Anatolievna Mamontova, which sold at auction in November 2012 for GBP 1,217,250.00 (€ 1,499,528.50).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Winter In Abramtsevo von Valentin Serov wurde im Dezember 2015 in der Auktion Russian Pictures Including Works on Paper by Natalia Goncharova and Mikhail Larionov bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 305.000,00 (€ 414.175,34) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 250.000,00 – 350.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Valentin Serov mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Portrait Of Praskovia Anatolievna Mamontova beobachtet, die im November 2012 für GBP 1.217.250,00 (€ 1.499.528,50) versteigert wurde.
