Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In June 2017 Christies in London held the auction Russian Art, which included the work Room with a view by Valentin Serov. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 9,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 9,375.00 (€ 10,676.38). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Valentin Serov achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Portrait Of Praskovia Anatolievna Mamontova in November 2012 with an auction result of GBP 1,217,250.00 (€ 1,499,528.50).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Juni 2017 führte Christies in London die Auktion Russian Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Room with a view von Valentin Serov zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 9.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 9.375,00 (€ 10.676,38) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Valentin Serov erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Portrait Of Praskovia Anatolievna Mamontova im November 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 1.217.250,00 (€ 1.499.528,50).
