Auction result well in line with expectations
In April 2008 Sothebys in New York held the auction Russian Art, which included the work Russian A Collection Of Five Photographs Documenting Performances, 1981 by Vadim Zakharov. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 7,000.00 – 9,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 7,500.00 (€ 4,817.57) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Vadim Zakharov achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Baroque in October 2008 with an auction result of GBP 61,250.00 (€ 78,071.77).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im April 2008 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Russian Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Russian A Collection Of Five Photographs Documenting Performances, 1981 von Vadim Zakharov zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 7.000,00 – 9.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 7.500,00 (€ 4.817,57) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Vadim Zakharov erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Baroque im Oktober 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 61.250,00 (€ 78.071,77).
