Auction result well in line with expectations
In March last year Bonhams in London held the auction Modern & Contemporary African Art, which included the work Still Life by Uzo Egonu. The price achieved of GBP 27,750.00 (€ 32,900.75) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 25,000.00 – 35,000.00. Other works by Uzo Egonu have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in April 2019 the work Nigerian Woman Reading was auctioned for GBP 43,750.00 (€ 50,893.89).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im März letzten Jahres führte Bonhams in London die Auktion Modern & Contemporary African Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Still Life von Uzo Egonu zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 27.750,00 (€ 32.900,75) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 25.000,00 – 35.000,00 angegeben worden. Andere Arbeiten von Uzo Egonu konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im April 2019 die Arbeit Nigerian Woman Reading für GBP 43.750,00 (€ 50.893,89) versteigert.
