Artwork auctioned at three times the upper estimate price
The work Edo Period (1615-1868), Circa 1811-1814 by Utagawa Kunisada was worth USD 8,287.50 (€ 7,622.79) to a buyer in March this year. This price was achieved in the auction Fine Japanese and Korean Works of Art at Bonhams and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of USD 2,500.00 many times over. Admittedly, works by Utagawa Kunisada have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Edo period (1615-1868), 1857 in March last year with an auction result of USD 47,812.50 (€ 43,101.51).
Kunstwerk zum Dreifachen des oberen Schätzpreises versteigert
Die Arbeit Edo Period (1615-1868), Circa 1811-1814 von Utagawa Kunisada war einem Käufer im März diesen Jahres USD 8.287,50 (€ 7.622,79) wert. Dieser Preise wurde in der Auktion Fine Japanese and Korean Works of Art bei Bonhams erzielt und übertraf den zuvor angesetzten oberen Schätzpreis von USD 2.500,00 um ein Vielfaches. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Utagawa Kunisada auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Edo period (1615-1868), 1857 im März letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 47.812,50 (€ 43.101,51).
