Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Chiyu Uemae achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2015. In the Contemporary Asian Art auction, the work without title sold for HKD 1,625,000.00 (€ 189,843.33) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 650,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Chiyu Uemae; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot without title sold at auction in May 2018 with the realized price of HKD 2,980,000.00 (€ 325,578.41).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Chiyu Uemae erzielte im Oktober 2015 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Contemporary Asian Art wurde diese Arbeit ohne Titel für HKD 1.625.000,00 (€ 189.843,33) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 650.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Chiyu Uemae; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit ohne Titel im Mai 2018 mit dem Hammerpreis von HKD 2.980.000,00 (€ 325.578,41).
