In February 2012 Christies in London held the auction Post-War and Contemporary Art Day Auction, which included the work WOT by Udomsak Krisanamis. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 10,000.00 (€ 11,940.26), 43% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Udomsak Krisanamis - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Wind Cries Mary, which sold at auction in September 2019 for GBP 35,000.00 (€ 39,493.35).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 43 % übertroffen
Im Februar 2012 führte Christies in London die Auktion Post-War and Contemporary Art Day Auction durch, in der auch die Arbeit WOT von Udomsak Krisanamis zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 10.000,00 (€ 11.940,26) und damit 43% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Udomsak Krisanamis mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The Wind Cries Mary beobachtet, die im September 2019 für GBP 35.000,00 (€ 39.493,35) versteigert wurde.
