Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In March last year Sothebys in London held the auction Modern & Contemporary African Art | and CCA Lagos Benefit Auction, which included the work Plant Form from Uli Grove; Factories and houses by Uche Okeke. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 6,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 6,300.00 (€ 7,469.36). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Uche Okeke achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Madonna & Child, The Manger (Framed) in March this year with an auction result of GBP 151,500.00 (€ 172,360.51).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im März letzten Jahres führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Modern & Contemporary African Art | and CCA Lagos Benefit Auction durch, in der auch die Arbeit Plant Form from Uli Grove; Factories and houses von Uche Okeke zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 6.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 6.300,00 (€ 7.469,36) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Uche Okeke erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Madonna & Child, The Manger (Framed) im März diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 151.500,00 (€ 172.360,51).
