Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Primeval Forest by Uche Okeke was auctioned at Bonhams in Edinburgh in October this year. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 80,000.00 – 120,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 89,300.00 (€ 102,541.21) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Other works by Uche Okeke have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in March this year the work Madonna & Child, The Manger (Framed) was auctioned for GBP 151,500.00 (€ 172,360.51).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Primeval Forest von Uche Okeke kam im Oktober diesen Jahres bei Bonhams in Edinburgh zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 80.000,00 – 120.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 89.300,00 (€ 102.541,21) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Andere Arbeiten von Uche Okeke konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im März diesen Jahres die Arbeit Madonna & Child, The Manger (Framed) für GBP 151.500,00 (€ 172.360,51) versteigert.
