Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Onwa, Face of the Moon, 1983 by Uche Okeke was auctioned at Bonhams in Edinburgh in October this year. The price achieved of GBP 11,520.00 (€ 13,228.16) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Uche Okeke achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Madonna & Child, The Manger (Framed) in March this year with an auction result of GBP 151,500.00 (€ 172,360.51).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Onwa, Face of the Moon, 1983 von Uche Okeke kam im Oktober diesen Jahres bei Bonhams in Edinburgh zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 11.520,00 (€ 13.228,16) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Uche Okeke erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Madonna & Child, The Manger (Framed) im März diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 151.500,00 (€ 172.360,51).
