The price achieved of USD 1,632,500.00 (€ 1,381,952.09) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 1,500,000.00 – 2,000,000.00. Other works by Tyeb Mehta have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in November 2018 the work Durga Mahisasura Mardini was auctioned for INR 204,875,000.00 (€ 2,587,399.54).
