Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Tyeb Mehta could be acquired at Christies in New York in September 2018 for an unexpectedly low price. In the South Asian Modern + Contemporary Art auction, the work Diagonal XV changed hands for USD 1,392,500.00 (€ 1,198,158.66) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 1,500,000.00 – 2,000,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Tyeb Mehta - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Durga Mahisasura Mardini, which sold at auction in November 2018 for INR 204,875,000.00 (€ 2,587,399.54).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
