Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Tsukioka Kogyo could be acquired at Christies in New York in March 2000 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Japanese and Korean Art auction, the work Nogaku zue (Illustrations of noh plays) changed hands for USD 977.50 (€ 1,020.99) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. Other works by Tsukioka Kogyo have also sold for higher prices; the highest price we have seen at auction so far was achieved in May 2021 by the work Three kacho-ga woodblock prints at GBP 1,260.00 (€ 1,466.04).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Tsukioka Kogyo konnte im März 2000 bei Christies in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Japanese and Korean Art wechselte die Arbeit Nogaku zue (Illustrations of noh plays) für USD 977,50 (€ 1.020,99) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 1.000,00 – 1.500,00. Andere Arbeiten von Tsukioka Kogyo wurden auch schon teurer gehandelt; den höchsten Preis, den wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachten konnten, erzielte im Mai 2021 die Arbeit Three kacho-ga woodblock prints mit GBP 1.260,00 (€ 1.466,04).
