This price was achieved in the auction Dear Keith: Works from the Personal Collection of Keith Haring at Sothebys in New York and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of USD 1,000.00 many times over. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Tseng Kwong Chi achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Jean-Michel Basquiat, New York, 1987 in November 2021 with an auction result of USD 125,000.00 (€ 110,746.88).
