Artwork auctioned at three times the upper estimate price
The work Calligraphy by Tsang Tsou Choi was worth HKD 187,500.00 (€ 19,784.25) to a buyer in April 2018. This price was achieved in the auction Contemporary Art Day Sale at Sothebys in Hong Kong and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of HKD 50,000.00 many times over. Admittedly, works by Tsang Tsou Choi have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Calligraphy in October 2013 with an auction result of HKD 1,840,000.00 (€ 174,606.44).
Kunstwerk zum Dreifachen des oberen Schätzpreises versteigert
Die Arbeit Calligraphy von Tsang Tsou Choi war einem Käufer im April 2018 HKD 187.500,00 (€ 19.784,25) wert. Dieser Preise wurde in der Auktion Contemporary Art Day Sale bei Sothebys in Hong Kong erzielt und übertraf den zuvor angesetzten oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 50.000,00 um ein Vielfaches. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Tsang Tsou Choi auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Calligraphy im Oktober 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 1.840.000,00 (€ 174.606,44).
