Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work "Drömskeppet" (The Dream Ship) by Truls Melin was auctioned at Bukowski in Stockholm in November 2011, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of SEK 30,000.00 – 40,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for SEK 21,000.00 (€ 2,310.27). Admittedly, works by Truls Melin have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work "Drunknade sjömän", 5 st. in May 2010 with an auction result of SEK 95,000.00 (€ 9,854.07).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit "Drömskeppet" (The Dream Ship) von Truls Melin im November 2011 bei Bukowski in Stockholm versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von SEK 30.000,00 – 40.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für SEK 21.000,00 (€ 2.310,27) den Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Truls Melin auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit "Drunknade sjömän", 5 st. im Mai 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von SEK 95.000,00 (€ 9.854,07).
