Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Symbology by Trevor Paglen was sold in the New Now Day Sale auction at Phillips in New York in February 2016. It changed hands for a price of USD 27,500.00 (€ 25,303.64) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. Other works by Trevor Paglen have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in November 2021 the work Discarded Rocket Body Approaching the Disk of the Moon (SL-8 R/B) was auctioned for USD 43,750.00 (€ 38,761.41).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Symbology von Trevor Paglen wurde im Februar 2016 in der Auktion New Now Day Sale bei Phillips in New York versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 27.500,00 (€ 25.303,64) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 20.000,00 – 30.000,00. Andere Arbeiten von Trevor Paglen konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im November 2021 die Arbeit Discarded Rocket Body Approaching the Disk of the Moon (SL-8 R/B) für USD 43.750,00 (€ 38.761,41) versteigert.
