Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Trenton Doyle Hancock could be acquired at Christies in New York in February 2007 for an unexpectedly low price. In the First Open Post-War and Contemporary Art auction, the work A Vegan Vehicle changed hands for USD 1,080.00 (€ 816.33) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Trenton Doyle Hancock achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Cult of Color Salad in February 2010 with an auction result of GBP 27,500.00 (€ 30,678.81).
