Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Tracey Moffatt could be acquired at Sothebys in London in September 2017 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Day Sale auction, the work Charm Alone, 1965 (From The Series 'Scarred For Life') changed hands for GBP 2,750.00 (€ 3,119.91) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Tracey Moffatt achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Something More in August 2004 with an auction result of AUD 227,050.00 (€ 131,779.57).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Tracey Moffatt konnte im September 2017 bei Sothebys in London für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Day Sale wechselte die Arbeit Charm Alone, 1965 (From The Series 'Scarred For Life') für GBP 2.750,00 (€ 3.119,91) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 5.000,00 – 7.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Tracey Moffatt erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Something More im August 2004 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von AUD 227.050,00 (€ 131.779,57).
