The »bidding war« ended at USD 1,750.00 (€ 1,569.65), 46% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Toyen achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Tu t'évapores dans un buisson de cris in October this year with an auction result of EUR 2,823,000.00.

Die Arbeit The Shooting Gallery: Three Prints (Tir 3, 7, And 8) von Toyen wurde im Mai 2019 in der Auktion The Sleep of Reason | A Private Collection of Surrealist Art Online bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 1.750,00 (€ 1.569,65) und damit 46% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Toyen erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Tu t'évapores dans un buisson de cris im Oktober diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 2.823.000,00.
