Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Tony Smith auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit For J.C. im Mai 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 530.500,00 (€ 369.017,81).
