It achieved a price of GBP 15,120.00 (€ 17,926.46), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 26%. Admittedly, works by Tony Oursler have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Passage in May 2014 with an auction result of USD 173,000.00 (€ 126,832.84).

Die Arbeit Dust and Shiny Painting von Tony Oursler kam im März letzten Jahres bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 15.120,00 (€ 17.926,46) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 26%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Tony Oursler auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Passage im Mai 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 173.000,00 (€ 126.832,84).
