It achieved a price of EUR 12,540.00 exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 39 %. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Tony Oursler achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Passage in May 2014 with an auction result of USD 173,000.00 (€ 126,832.84).

Die Arbeit Medium Combustion. von Tony Oursler wurde im Juni letzten Jahres in der Auktion From a Universal Collector – The Olbricht Collection | Being Human bei VAN HAM versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von EUR 12.540,00 und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 39 %. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Tony Oursler erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Passage im Mai 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 173.000,00 (€ 126.832,84).
