Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In December 2021 Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction Modern Art Online: From Le Pho to Sanyu, which included this untitled work by Tong Yangtze. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 47,880.00 (€ 5,423.41), 20% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Tong Yangtze have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Be Tolerant, So You Will Be Great, Have No Desire, So You Will Be Strong (You Rong Nai Da) in April 2016 with an auction result of HKD 325,000.00 (€ 36,616.12).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Dezember 2021 führte Sothebys in Hong Kong die Auktion Modern Art Online: From Le Pho to Sanyu durch, in der auch diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Tong Yangtze zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 47.880,00 (€ 5.423,41) und damit 20% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Tong Yangtze auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Be Tolerant, So You Will Be Great, Have No Desire, So You Will Be Strong (You Rong Nai Da) im April 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 325.000,00 (€ 36.616,12).
