Auction result well in line with expectations
This work without title by Tong Yangtze was sold in the Modern Art Online: From Le Pho to Sanyu auction at Sothebys in Hong Kong in December 2021. It changed hands for a price of HKD 35,280.00 (€ 3,996.20) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of HKD 20,000.00 – 40,000.00. Admittedly, works by Tong Yangtze have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Be Tolerant, So You Will Be Great, Have No Desire, So You Will Be Strong (You Rong Nai Da) in April 2016 with an auction result of HKD 325,000.00 (€ 36,616.12).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Tong Yangtze wurde im Dezember 2021 in der Auktion Modern Art Online: From Le Pho to Sanyu bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von HKD 35.280,00 (€ 3.996,20) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 20.000,00 – 40.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Tong Yangtze auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Be Tolerant, So You Will Be Great, Have No Desire, So You Will Be Strong (You Rong Nai Da) im April 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 325.000,00 (€ 36.616,12).
