The work Calligraphy by Tong Yangtze was sold in the Fine Chinese Paintings auction at Christies in New York in September 2016. The auction ended at the price of USD 4,000.00 (€ 3,559.35), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of USD 3,000.00 – 4,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Tong Yangtze achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Be Tolerant, So You Will Be Great, Have No Desire, So You Will Be Strong (You Rong Nai Da) in April 2016 with an auction result of HKD 325,000.00 (€ 36,616.12).
Zuschlag beim oberen Schätzpreis
Die Arbeit Calligraphy von Tong Yangtze wurde im September 2016 in der Auktion Fine Chinese Paintings bei Christies in New York versteigert. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von USD 4.000,00 (€ 3.559,35) entsprach exakt dem oberen Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 3.000,00 – 4.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Tong Yangtze erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Be Tolerant, So You Will Be Great, Have No Desire, So You Will Be Strong (You Rong Nai Da) im April 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 325.000,00 (€ 36.616,12).
