Auction result misses estimated price range
In September 2008 a collector was able to acquire the work Heaven And Earth Are My Hut by Tong Yangtze for USD 11,250.00 (€ 7,989.49). This price was achieved in the auction Contemporary Art Asia at Sothebys in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 15,000.00 – 25,000.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Tong Yangtze have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Be Tolerant, So You Will Be Great, Have No Desire, So You Will Be Strong (You Rong Nai Da) in April 2016 with an auction result of HKD 325,000.00 (€ 36,616.12).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im September 2008 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Heaven And Earth Are My Hut von Tong Yangtze für USD 11.250,00 (€ 7.989,49) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Contemporary Art Asia bei Sothebys in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 15.000,00 – 25.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Tong Yangtze auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Be Tolerant, So You Will Be Great, Have No Desire, So You Will Be Strong (You Rong Nai Da) im April 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 325.000,00 (€ 36.616,12).
